Geneva Motor Show 2015: prototype of the new Optima

On the eve of the Geneva Motor Show, KIA Company has unveiled the teaser of the conceptual model, which will debut at the show this spring.
According to the KIA Company, the concept car of D-segment is the eleventh in a row model developed European design studio in Frankfurt Kia. The distinctive features of new items will be “energetic body lines” and branded grille as “tiger nose”. Obviously, the concept is a prototype of a new generation of the popular model Optima, which is expected to debut in the fall at the motor show in Frankfurt.

In the range of powerplants of the new Optima, which traditionally shares a platform with the Hyundai Sonata, in addition to conventional gasoline and diesel engines will be included a hybrid diesel-electric powertrain.

A prototype of such a powerplant debuted last year on the concept of Optima T-Hybrid, presented at the Paris Motor Show. Recall that it consists of a 1.7-liter turbo, and a set of electric lead-carbon batteries. The new KIA Optima it is an impressive style, which combines improved performance comfort, stability and security. Powerful engine model provides a dynamic movement, and, at the same time, low fuel consumption.
