Fourth generation of KIA Rio debuted in Paris

Public premiere of a hatchback Kia Rio of 2017 model year took place at the auto show in Paris. Kia design centers in Germany, USA and South Korea worked on the car appearance. Exterior of the novelty is radically different from the current version. The car received a long and narrow grille in the form of “tiger nose”, new headlamps with a U-shaped LED lights and tail lights with arrow-shaped LED elements.

2017 Kia Rio’s wheelbase has been increased, and the rear overhang was reduced; in the result a hatchback looks longer. Comparing with the current model, the novelty grew slightly; it became 15 millimeters longer and five mm wider. But height became five millimeters lower. The list options includes a multimedia complex with support of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, as well as emergency braking system

At the moment there is no information on the power unit. Presumably, the motor range of the novelty will include 1,2-liter petrol engine generating 75 or 84 horsepower. Also, the hatchback will be available with 1.4-liter petrol engine with an output of 100 hp. In addition, will be available 1.0-liter three-cylinder gasoline turbo motor developing 100 and 120 horsepower.
