South Korean automobile group Hyundai Motor Group, which includes automakers like Hyundai Motor and Kia Motors, is planning in 2013 year to increase their global sales of the total number of the vehicles sold by 4% – the percentage number may seem small, but all in all it means that the producers will increase the sales up to 7.41 million units – from 7.12 million at the end of the past year. The plan for the combined sales of Hyundai and Kia in 2013 was announced on Tuesday by the head of Hyundai Group’s Chung Mong-Gu.

In particular, Hyundai Motor Co. plans to increase its sales individually by 6 per cent – up to 4.66 million vehicles. While Kia Motors expects to increase sales by 1% – to 2.75 million. Analysts noted that the expectations voiced by the head of Hyundai, are conservative, if they materialize, it will be the slowest growth in sales of Hyundai-Kia since 2003.

Hyundai Motor and Kia together ranked fifth among global automakers in terms of sales. In 2012 their total sales increased by 8% – to 7.12 million vehicles – with its own target of 7 million cars. So in the end we wish only lots of success and greatness to our beloved car producers!
